Patterned Scratchboard 2-Day Workshop  Classes held at the Round Hill Arts Center. Thursdays, March 3 & 17, 2010, 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Patterns on Patterns: In this class we talk about patterns in African Kente and in South American moles. We will design and prepare a patterned, colored background and then paint over this design. The next class we will design the top pattern and scratch it into the surface, revealing the colored pattern beneath. Ages 6 & up.  Mess Factor: Low. Class Limit: 8 Students. Fee: $40 plus $5 materials fee.

Japanese Cherry Blossoms: Mixed Media Workshop Classes held at the Round Hill Arts Center. Thursday, March 18, 2010, 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Welcome spring with a class that combines painting with collage to make paper sculptures based on traditional Japanese paintings of cherry blossoms. Ages 6 & up.  Mess Factor: Low. Class Limit: 8 students. Fee: $20 plus $10 materials fee.

Block-Printed Cards 2-Day Workshop Classes held at the Round Hill Arts Center. Tuesday and Thursday, March 23 and 25, 7:00- 9:00 pm. In this two-part class, you will create a card design, transfer it to a printing block, carve the design, and print your finished block on blank cards. We will create beautiful handmade cards to give family and friends for birthdays, holidays and beyond. Ages 12 & up.  Mess Factor: Medium. Class Limit: 8 students.  Fee: $40 plus $15 materials fee.
